The Magic Horn or Sleeping Beauty in the Wood ‘A play you can play to help save the day’ is a push out and slot together toy theatre for kids and all the family to make and play.

Be director, performer, audience member in the Benjamin Pollock’s Toyshop 21st Century interactive version of Sleeping Beauty for all the family.

“Who will defeat Ogre Frosty-toes and rescue Princess Beauty the Beautiest? You put on the play. You choose the hero!”

Kids will love getting to choose the ending of the play whether they are performers or audience. With the human clapometer (the biggest round of applause) the audience decides who gets to wake up Beauty the Beautiest. Will it be Prince Amor Abunda? Will it be Peony Rigglesby the hiker girl? Or will it be Hickory Dickory Duck (the clown that thinks it’s a duck)? 

The box includes a stage with scenes and curtains, 20 characters and fold out stand for the laugh out loud script, written and adapted for this 2023 production by Jeffrey Kindley.

The original paper theatre design is an unpublished classic by Peter Jackson based on Leon Bakst’s designs. We’ve added contemporary characters designed by Vikki Zhang and brought it to you in a luxury box designed by Lorenzo Gabini. Read about it’s history here.
